In this episode we sit down with 15 year old Seagull Milk Sunscreen entrepreneur, Josh Apitz, for a look inside what makes a teenager believe he can start a product business.
Josh gives us all a lesson in developing the mindset needed to take us beyond our comfort zones and into the unknown.
During a workshop for teen entrepreneurs, Josh perceives a need for a non toxic, non slip sunscreen. An avid surfer, Josh finds regular sunscreen to be slippery on surfboards and on top of that, toxic to the skin and ocean.
Well aware of the harmful effects the sun can have on our skin, (Josh’s Father and Grandfather both had skin cancer) Josh set about developing a sunscreen that meets higher standards for human use and ecological sustainability.
Still in its production faze, Seagull Milk is on its way to provide a more conscious choice for sun protection.
Josh talks about overcoming the fear of failure, how he views success and his random Seagull Milk beach conversation with two times world surfing champion John John Florence.
